Portugal, Voted the Best European Tourist Destination in the World
For the third year running at the World Travel Awards, Portugal has been awarded “Best World Tourist Destination”.
The prize was awarded on the 29th in Oman. Also competing in this category were countries like Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dubai, Greece, India, Indonesia, Jamaica, Kenya, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius, Morocco, New Zealand, Rwanda, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, USA and Vietnam
Voting is online and open to the public allowing you to show popular preference as to destination. In June this year, the country was also considered as the Best European Destination by the World Travel Awards.
Prizes such as these reinforce the good work, climate and cuisine that Portugal offers its visitors.
