Lagos Lives the Magic of Christmas with Exciting News

The municipality of Lagos once again embraces the holiday season with a diverse program for the entire family. From November 30 to January 6, Praça do Infante will return as the central hub of the festive season, hosting dozens of activities throughout the municipality.

From performances, roaming and musical entertainment, storytelling sessions, Christmas craft workshops, local commerce promotion initiatives, and nativity scene exhibitions, all eyes will be on the "Christmas Village."

The festivities kick off on November 30 with a dance performance by the Sofia Rodrigues Ballet, Dance, and Art Academy, along with a Christmas train, an ice skating rink, a sledding slope, craft workshops, photospots, and other surprises for the whole family.

Until December 24, this iconic venue will also feature roaming performers, jugglers, and face painting on weekends.

The markets will be alive with activities, including music at "Viv’o Mercado" and "Mercado de Santo Amaro," roaming entertainment at "Mercado da Avenida," and a "Christmas Crafts Fair" at "Mercado de Levante."

Throughout the weeks, numerous Christmas initiatives will take place across the municipality, with the collaboration of local associations. Highlights include performances at the Cultural Center and churches of Lagos, family sessions at the Municipal Library, and the "Christmasland" at Lagos Zoo.

From November 30 to January 5, the "Christmas in Local Commerce" initiative will also be running in partnership with ACRAL, offering special prizes for customers shopping at participating establishments in 2024.
